Model UN Climate Change Conference

Model United Nations Climate Change Conference (hereinafter MUNCCC) is an academic program that encourages students from middle schools, high schools and universities to effectively engage in an exploration of world diplomacy and international relations by simulating United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties.

With globalization, many issues which cannot be tackled solely by one nation have emerged. There is no doubt that the world will face further problems which require global cooperation and cohesion; and one such critical problem is climate change.

In recognition of the urgency of the climate change issue, YTN News Agency and Korea University agreed to host the fourth MUNCCC from July 24 to July 26 2015.

MUNCCC aims to cultivate participants leadership, creativity, insight, and above all, global citizenship. In addition, while preparing and actively participating in the conference, students will be able to learn how to research and write official UN documents, cooperate, and publicly speak which will be helpful in the near future.

It is our sincere hope that participants have fruitful experiences during MUNCCC.
